Celebrating the life of Jan Malloy
The Jan Malloy Scholarship for Spirit and McAuley Community Involvement is designed to support student scholarships at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School. The fund has been established by Jenny Costello Fortner '94 and her husband, P. Jay Fortner to continue Jan's support and promotion of education for young women in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy. A donation to this scholarship fund, will help ensure that a new generation of young women will have the opportunity to benefit from a Mercy education, a quality education that Jan believed in. For more details about the Jan Malloy Scholarship, please call the Development Office at 773.881.6559 or email jaltenbach@mothermcauley.org.
A Visit to Baggot StreetA group of
1977 graduates recently travelled together to Ireland to celebrate their 50th birthdays. According to Pat Helsdingen Reed, "During the years I was in high school, I made some lasting friendships....those relationships have continued and grown through the years." As a tribute to the start of their lifelong friendships which began at McAuley, the group made a stop at the
Catherine McAuley House in Dublin.
